Profile
Ms. Wong entered the patent profession in 2001, qualified in 2004 and became a partner in 2010. She is a trusted advisor to established SME's, ambitious tech start-ups and large multinationals, helping them to protect their ideas and bring their innovative products to market by drafting and prosecuting patent applications, advising on patent strategy, defending and asserting granted patents and advising on freedom-to-operate (infringement) risks.
Ms. Wong studied Electrical Engineering at during university and graduated as a Bachelor of Science. She then continued to undertake research in the field of Mechanical Engineering and was awarded a doctorate for her research. Ms. Wong's practice encompasses the fields of automotive, construction, sports equipment, manufacturing and engineering of all kinds, medical instruments, robotics, oilfield exploration and drilling, and clean-tech.
Before joining our firm, Ms. Wong spent a number of years as an in-house patent counsel in an international company. During that period, she defended a number of high-profile patents in the field of power grids in invalidation proceedings before the CNIPA.
